Deeply coloured, which comes from the red fleshed Alicante Bouschet grape used in the blend. Plenty of primary fruit on the nose with red cherries and a hint of black tea and spice. A very smooth and easy to drink red.
The producer Fattoria Quercegrossa is located between Magliano in Toscana and the sea of Talamone, a stretch of vineyards with two enormous oak trees at its centre from where you can glimpse the sea. There in Maremma, Bruna Baroncini produces a different expression of the Sangiovese grape.
