Clos de la Cure is a beautiful walled vineyard of just over 6 hectares located near the old church of St. Christophe-des-Bardes, perched on the heights of the St. Emilion plateau, and is owned by the Bouyer-Arteau family.
The vineyard shares the same soil structure as Ch‰teau Cheval Blanc, gravel and clay with a proportion of iron-rich deposits, which gives an idea of its pedigree. This wine is aged for 18 months in oak.
Clos de la Cure, St Emilion Grand Cru (2010)
£23.75
An excellent example of St Emilion at its very best.
This complex wine is opaque in colour and shows aromas of sweet blackcurrant leaf and a hint of cedar on the nose. Superb structure with solid, tight tannins and a long satisfying finish.
