This wine is probably the most distinguished Malbec-dominant blend in Australia; a vivid purple-crimson colour, not long into bottle after seven months in French oak. On the palate is a very attractive blend of rich blueberry, cherry and spice flavours backed by soft tannins, a juicy and pure fruit-driven wine with a suggested drinking span of around 15 years.

The grapes for this wine were hand-harvested, destemmed and vinified with the emphasis on accentuating the fruit character of the grapes. Only wild yeasts were used. The wine was matured for 11 months in seasoned French oak barriques, 11% of which were new. It received no additives except the requisite sulphur and was not fined.
