The grapes are from the cool Loire region, which allows for the maximum varietal expression with warm days and cool nights. The result is crisp, sappy classic French sauvignon at its best. The fruit was harvested very early in the morning to ensure that the fruit was cool prior to careful pressing. This helps in the retention of fruit flavours and aromas.
Jean-Jacques Breton ‘La Clochette’ Sancerre
£7.50
La Clochette means little bell and the flavours in this wine are as clearly dry, crisp and elegant with fresh gooseberry fruit dominating the senses. Unoaked, the palate is rich in fruit flavours and finishes with the right balance of texture and refreshing acidity.
