Sicily’s warm, dry climate is ideal for organic cultivation and most vineyards already use very little spraying against diseases and pests. So the island is a great source of good organic wines. This Carratto has bright, appealing aromas of citrus and fennel. The palate is fresh and incisive with more citrus notes and crisp acidity on the finish.
2 x Da Vero Organic Nero d’Avola 2019 – Sicily
Ripe aromas of black fruit and a hint of spice. The palate is full of rich plum and bramble fruit characters, and plump tannins. We are always keen to champion Nero d’Avola here at Inspiring Wines, gorgeous!
2 x Natura Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 – Rapel Valley, Chile
Intense ruby-red in colour with pleasing aromas of black currant and red fruit accompanied by notes of mocha and spice. The palate is concentrated and very smooth with well-rounded tannins and delicious acidity that leads to a very persistent and balanced finish.
2 x Adobe Reserva Carmenère, Colchagua Valley, Chile [Organic] 2019
Carmenère at its best with bags of fruit balanced by impressive structure. Purplish-red colour. Intensely fruity nose, with standout plum and redcurrant aromas and hints of toast and blackcurrants. Smooth, ripe, velvety tannins and good density. An enjoyable and persistent finish.
2 x Adobe Reserva Chardonnay, Casablanca Valley, Chile [Organic] 2019
A clear, bright pale yellow in colour, with refreshing citrus aromas of grapefruit and lime that intermingle with subtle tropical fruit aromas, especially pineapple, and a touch of herbs. On the palate, it is a balanced, fresh, fruity wine, with a velvety texture and again, a persistent, enjoyable finish. Although you won’t want to finish!
2 x Tierras del Isasa Organic Verdejo 2018 – Rueda, Spain
A characterful organic white from Rueda with some bottle age so softer and rounder in style. Aromas of tropical fruit and white flower, with a hint of fennel and citrus. The palate has ripe stone fruit, fresh acidity, and a crisp finish.
