The Winery
Grapes are sourced from the northern end of California’s long central valley. Malbec here benefits from the cooling influence of San Francisco bay so grapes retain freshness. After fermentation 70% of the Malbec is aged in oak for 4 months giving good integration and subtle oak characteristics. A small percentage of Syrah is blended into the wine before bottling to give some extra structure to this plush red wine.
The Wine
Juicy and full-bodied, with plenty of blackcurrant and blueberry fruit, velvety tannins and great freshness.
The Food
Great with rich and hearty food such as a casserole or veggie chili con carne.
